Arts based education is a passion and a mission of the Saartjie Project. Our goal during this workshop is to share some of our performance work and create a space for you to generate your own solo performance art based on personal experiences. We will also explore collective performance work, using various art forms such as poetry, monologue and dance.

Participants will become familiar with the oral percussion style that originated in the late 1980’s, called the Human Beatbox. In this workshop, you will learn how to execute sounds, patterns, and rhythms in the easiest way possible and share their development with other people.

Body, Voice and Spirit: a Suzuki Intensive

The workshop offers an introduction to the legendary trainings of Suzuki Company of Toga: a daily practice for the body-mind-spirit and a unique approach to voice and text. Must be in good physical condition, with no serious knee or ankle problems.
