“The Returned” is a dark, comedic, fast-paced two-hander about late-stage capitalism and finding human connection in an increasingly atomized world. When Nestor slips on a slippery floor and dies at the mall, employee Dot makes a pact with a mysterious entity to retrieve his soul for an odd and terrible cost.
