Motherload is an autobiographical dark comedy about the wounds that accompany complicated mother-daughter relationships and the ways in which friendships–in all their crass glory–can heal and uplift. Together, Jenna and Justine work through their baggage – around dating, class, and most of all, the lingering resentment and profound love they have for their mothers–wild, unruly, and human in their flaws.
